Groves High School PTSA

Dear Groves Families,

The Groves PTSA would like to welcome our new families and welcome back our returning families for the 2025-2026 school year. The Groves PTSA prides itself on supporting and celebrating our school community, and we remain committed to making it our highest priority to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of our students, educators, and families.

Whether a new PTSA member or a returning member, we thank you for your contributions, time, and commitment to our organization. As a member of the Groves PTSA, you are a voice for our kids and part of the largest child advocacy program in the world. At Groves, we have an amazing community of students, parents, teachers and staff. Contributing to the Groves PTSA only enhances and strengthens this relationship.

Please join the “Groves High School PTSA” FACEBOOK GROUP- We have a wonderful Groves High School PTSA facebook group to provide and share helpful information about our school activities and to be a positive support group for parents and guardians of students at Groves High School. You can ask questions, provide advice and feedback, and make new connections.

PTSA Meetings will be held one Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Groves Main Office Conference Room. All are welcome!

Your donations to the Groves PTSA are needed to ensure that quality programs and resources continue to be available to our students.  We are hoping that ALL Groves families will become members and participate in giving to the Groves PTSA.  The PTA budget will be largely determined by the success of our PTSA Membership drive and direct donations.  Please visit our website to join and make donations.  Wylie E. PTA Membership Dues - While all parents are welcome to participate in PTSA-sponsored activities, only PTSA members have the privileges of making motions, debating, voting, holding office, serving as chairman of standing or special committees. With the $50 membership fee, your family will receive on-line access to the Groves directory.

PTSA Direct Donation Campaign -  We hope that this year, in addition to joining the PTSA, you will make a Direct Donation – this puts your money to work for your student’s education and helps to fund enrichment programs and support the educational goals at Groves! The suggested donation is $75 per family, but any amount is appreciated.

The Groves High School PTSA, in common with the National PTA and the Michigan PTA, exists to:

  • Promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community and place of worship.
  • Raise the standards of home life.
  • Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • Bring into closer relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of our children and youth.
  • Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in mental, physical, social and spiritual education.

The Groves Parent Teacher Student Association exists to support our students, our teachers and staff, and our parents.  We strive to enrich our students’ academic, athletic, emotional and social growth during their years at Groves. We support this goal through the development and coordination of enrichment programming as well as related financial and volunteer support.

We welcome your involvement in our Groves PTSA. Plan to attend and participate in our monthly PTSA meetings and other PTSA sponsored activities. We would welcome your time and talents to positively impact our students’ educational experience and their lives.

Please contact any Groves PTSA Executive Board Member, Parent Representative or Committee Chair to learn more about our Groves PTSA and how you can get involved.

We all make a difference in our students’ education.

Thank you for your continuing support of the strong academic tradition at Groves and all of our Birmingham Public Schools.
